August at Cig Cymreig Cowin: Fresh Beef, Local Shows & Our First Farmers’ Market
August is shaping up to be a very exciting month here at Cig Cymreig Cowin, with fresh stock, local events and a brand-new adventure for our little farm-to-fork business.
🥩 Fresh Welsh Beef & Pork — Friday 28 August
Our next fresh beef and pork stock will be available from Friday 28 August.
If there’s a particular cut you’d like, please let us know in advance. We’re happy to arrange custom cuts with our butcher, whether you’re looking for a specific roasting joint, steaks cut to a particular thickness or something a little different.
We’ll have a range of fresh Welsh beef and pork available, alongside our usual meat boxes and individual cuts.
🐄 Supporting Our Local Show — Saturday 29 August
On Saturday, we’re delighted to be supporting our local show, Sioe Cffi Cynwyl Elfed.
Come and say hello at the Cig Cymreig Cowin stand. We’ll have some of our popular meat boxes available to take home, or you can place an order with us and arrange for delivery later that day.
There’ll also be colouring activities for the little ones and refreshments throughout the day, so come along, have a chat and enjoy what promises to be a fantastic community day.
We love being part of our local community, and supporting events such as our village show means a great deal to us as a local family farm.
🌿 Our Very First Farmers’ Market — Sunday 30 August
And then comes something we’re very excited about…
On Sunday, we’ll be attending our very first farmers’ market at the Golden Grove Gelli Aur Farmers’ Market, held at Gelli Aur Country Park.
This is a brand-new experience for us, and we honestly couldn’t be more excited to take our Welsh beef and pork directly to another local community.
We’ll have a selection of our meat boxes and products with us, giving you the chance to meet us, find out more about where your meat comes from and, of course, take some delicious Welsh farm-to-fork produce home with you.
For us, it’s all about knowing your farmer, knowing your food and supporting local businesses.
